February Favourites

We are coming to the end of February and this month we have been enjoying some wonderful things that we want to share.

3 In 1 Maca Mask by Odylique

When mixed with water, this fine clay turns into a cleansing, purifying mask that tingles and tones. This gentle and revitalising mask removes impurities with green and white clay, recharges the skin with the vitamins and minerals of baobab, exfoliates and polishes with oats and sugarcane and replenishes with essential amino acids found in maca. The reason we keep recommending Odylique is that we just cannot find another organic skincare brand that is as natural and gentle on skin and we don’t see that changing anytime soon.

Organic Jojoba Pure Blending Oil by Tisserand

This silky liquid wax moisturises, softens and conditions the skin with its antioxidants and essential fatty acids. Ideal for all skin types this oil can be used on the face, body and hair. It is so important to buy cosmetic and essential oils from trusted sources and we regularly use oils from Tisserand because they choose pure ingredients free from unsound chemicals that are kind to the skin and, wherever possible, organic so kinder to the environment. They never use animal derived ingredients, such as lanolin or beeswax and their products and ingredients are not tested on animals.

Unscented Very Gentle Conditioner by [A’kin]

This gluten free, unscented conditioner is perfect for hair that needs extra nourishment. Enriched with avocado, macadamia and jojoba oils and combined with antioxidants, vitamin B5 and oat protein, this conditioner locks in moisture and soothes sensitive scalps whilst avoiding allergens and harmful chemicals. The result is a soothed scalp and sensuously soft hair as well as healthier skin all over; the products we use on our heads often get washed over the rest of our bodies so it pays to be mindful of the ingredients in our haircare.

This life affirming and empowering read is part memoir, part workbook. It is the story of healing from world renowned spiritual teacher, Brandon Bays. Finding a way to cure herself of a beach ball sized uterine tumour in only 6 weeks, Brandon knew it was her mission to share her journey and create a process that she could teach to others. Her understanding of the truth of who we are is inline with our own experience and we enjoy anything that tells us that we can harness the power of the divine that we are also a part of.

Sodasan Dishwasher Salt

Really? Yes! It pays to be mindful of the products we use in our homes and something as simple as dishwasher salt is no exception. Dishwashers use less water than washing up. To keep them working properly they need salt added. Rather than use a conventional brand of salt mixed with anti caking agents, this natural alternative is a food grade salt that does not contain denaturing agents, colouring agents or bleaching materials.
