Five Simple and Healthy Salad Dressings

Salad, it’s one of the most nutritious things we can eat but not everybody likes their lettuce plain. Store bought salad dressings most often contain preservatives, flavourings, sugar and even MSG which are all known to cause inflammation in the body, digestive issues and even allergic reactions. So, how can we make things more interesting without compromising our health in the process with unhealthy dressings that negate the positive effects of the greens?

Healthy and simple salad dressings take little time to make, include few ingredients and store for up to three days in the fridge. They jazz up even the plainest of leaves and encourage those of us who like a little flavour with our greens to eat more of them, more often.

These dressings are gluten free, refined sugar free, oil free and full of flavour. Just combine the ingredients and whizz until smooth and creamy in a high seed blender or pulse in a food processor for something a little more chunky. Feel free to add extra flavour with vinegar, fruit, salt and spices to make something you know you’ll enjoy.
