We are reaching the end of another month that has been filled with new product discoveries we want to share with you, so here are our October Favourites.
Biona Organic Almond Butter
Not all nut butters are made equal and this one from Biona is in a league of its own. Great quality, subtly flavoured, smooth and versatile, we eat this alone, stuffed into dates, with bread and jam, use it in raw desserts and baked goods and in place of butter. If you are on the hunt for an almond butter that is lightly flavoured enough to be used in recipes but delicious enough to be eaten alone, look no further.
Loving Earth Coconut Mylk Dark Chocolate
Made with single origin organic raw cacao from Peru and sweetened with organic evaporated coconut nectar, this hand made, vegan bar is the answer to our chocolate dreams. Creamy like a milk chocolate but with the intense flavour of dark chocolate, this bar offers the best of both worlds.
This recipe site has been our absolute favourite this month, offering sumptuous and decadent dishes that are variously gluten free, vegan, grain free and sugar free. Easy to make and delicious every time, recipes are added almost daily to this food blog which has something for everyone and is now our favourite way to enjoy healthy desserts and sweets.
Na’vi Organics Full Spectrum Schisandra Berry Extract Powder
Schisandra is an adaptogen we like to include in our diet for a number of reasons, including hormonal balance and reduction of adrenal stress. It is sharp and bitter and can be hard to eat which is why this version which melts into hot water is a firm favourite. Made by extraction using purified water and processed in line with the ancient wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine, a temperature controlled process ensures all naturally occurring components are captured in the extract in the same proportions as in the original plant, creating a perfect full spectrum extract.
Nutri-Fungi Lion’s Mane Extract
Another extract powder that dissolves into hot water, this high potency extract has a sweet and malty flavour, enabling users to drink it alone in boiling water. Lion’s Mane is known for offering brain support: enhancing cognition, memory and concentration, stimulating nerve growth, development and repair, supporting healthy neuron function and even useful in treating and preventing dementia and Alzheimer’s. Nutri-Fungi are passionate about mushrooms and all of their extracts have been analysed for proof of potency.
Pai Skincare Organic Camellia & Rose Gentle Hydrating Cleanser
This cleanser for dry, delicate and sensitive skin is the most creamy, nourishing and beautifully scented cleanser we have ever come across. Alcohol and detergent free, its formula is designed to maintain the skin’s natural oil and pH balance, hydrating skin to leave it soft and replenished. Excellent at removing make up and so gentle it calms angry, sore and troubled skin on application, we cannot recommend this cleanser highly enough and it even comes with a dual effect sensitive skin cloth, with textured muslin and soft terry sides.
Living Libations Rose Glow Complexion Mist
This Complexion Mist prepares the pores to receive the hydration from moisturisers. A hydrosol made from of hundreds of rose petals that is designed to awaken and renew skin and spirit, this beautifully scented mist hydrates dry skin and tones uneven texture. Perfect for use as a toner and during the day to refresh and revive tired or dry skin, this is especially helpful as we enter colder months.
Luna Oil Organics Skin Brightening Serum
We have come to refer to this product as a miracle serum. It brightens skin upon application which is advised for evenings, allowing the fresh and organic botanicals to work their magic overnight, leaving skin smooth, soft and radiant by morning. Designed to give skin a healthy boost while fighting dark spots and hyperpigmentation, this high impact formula is specifically designed to revive a dull looking complexion with its rich and brightening ingredients including camellia seed, pomegranate and Argan oils which work together in an infusion of white mulberry extract, a natural skin lightener, that inhibits melanogenesis and helps even out skin tone. Not only is the bottle gorgeous, it houses a serum that smells good enough to eat, is long lasting and a skin miracle we recommend to all.
Idiot’s Guide to Ayurveda by Sahara Rose Ketabi
If you think Ayurveda is just curries and Indian food cooked without garlic and onions, think again. In her first book, Sahara Rose Ketabi introduces Ayurveda clearly and thoroughly, covering Doshas, Time Management, Exercise, Digestion, Morning and Night Time Routines, Dhatus, Cosmic Forces, Universal Qualities, Koshas, the Chakra System and Detox. Detailing the right foods and routines for healing imbalances in the both Dosha you were born with as well as the one you identify with now, further advise on exercise, work and sleep patterns, detox and spiritual wellbeing make this an excellent starting point for learning more about Ayurveda and discovering if it’s approach is right for you.
Vaccines: A Reappraisal by
Family doctor Richard Moskowitz was compelled to write this book after dealing with case after case of vaccine damage in both infants and adults. Covering how vaccines actually work to create an autoimmune response in the body, how they are deemed “unavoidably unsafe” by the vaccine industry, how placebo trials are not enforced and actually rigged to create better results, how a vaccine regimen of tens of doses in a child’s life can lead to brain damage, how the vaccine industry is protected by statute from being found accountable for ill health and death following vaccination and so much more, this is a book for anyone interested in what vaccines do, why fatal diseases have actually declined in numbers of cases and the cover ups surrounding the damage and death caused by vaccinations.
