Gluten Free Garlic Avocado Toast

This gluten free garlic avocado toast makes a perfect breakfast, lunch, dinner or filling snack. Dense yet spongey garlic bread lightly grilled with a topping of well seasoned avocado mash, this meal is light, satisfying and full of flavour.

Makes One Serving



  • ½ tsp baking soda
  • ½ tbsp onion powder
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 tbsp garlic granules
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 100 g potato flour
  • 125 g chickpea flour
  • 135 g buckwheat groats
  • 360 ml water

Avocado Mash for Two Slices

  • ¼ tsp Himalayan salt
  • 1 tsp chia seeds
  • 1 tsp flax seeds
  • 1 tsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp fresh rocket
  • 100 g avocado


Blend the bread ingredients apart from the garlic granules until smooth and pour into a loaf mould around 22cm x 10cm x 6cm.

Sprinkle the garlic granules on top and bake at 180°C for 45 minutes.

In a bowl mix together the avocado mash ingredients apart from the rocket and seeds.

Once the bread is cool, slice and lightly grill. Top with avocado mash, seeds and rocket.
