Lavender and Rosemary Bath Salts

Baths have long been rituals associated with cleansing, detoxification, purification and healing and additions such as oils, plants and salts used to aid and restore health and wellbeing.

These lavender and rosemary bath salts are made from just four ingredients that form a potent and powerful mix that relaxes tired muscles, stimulates the senses and clears and calms the mind.

Epsom Salt

Originally sourced from natural spas in Epsom and now created by combining magnesium and sulfate, Epsom salt is renowned for its detoxification and relaxation effects.

Rosemary

Bathing in rosemary relieves tension and tightness and draws blood to the surface of the skin, boosting circulation and increasing blood flow to the brain and its aroma clears the mind.

Lavender Essential Oil

Lavender calms, relaxes and relieves stress and anxiety, whilst reducing inflammation, disinfecting and soothing skin and reducing signs of ageing.

Jojoba Oil

Jojoba moisturises, softens and conditions the skin with its antioxidants and essential fatty acids and acts as a carrier for the lavender essential oil.

Ingredients

  • ½ cup Epsom salts
  • 1 tsp dried rosemary
  • 1 tbsp jojoba oil
  • 10 drops lavender essential oil

Method

Mix the ingredients together well in a bowl and add to a bath under running water or to the water in a small basin for a foot soak.

Store leftover salts in an airtight container for 3-5 days.
