The days are getting shorter and colder and winter is drawing near. This month, we have enjoyed some new products that have kept us feeling healthy, cosy and festive. Here are November favourites.
As Christmas nears we have been decorating early with fresh red flowers and red freesias have been a favourite. Beautiful blooms fill the air with a sweet scent that brightens and uplifts, getting us into the holiday spirit early.
Waitrose Organic Chestnuts
‘Tis the season for chestnuts and we’ve been enjoying these beautifully tender and meaty sweet organic chestnuts from Waitrose all month long. Low in fats and sugars yet sweet and satisfying we eat them alone as a snack, for dessert and use them in recipes.
Hambleden Elderflower Tea
We’ve been keeping colds at bay with this light and refreshing tea from Hambelden made from just organic elderflowers. Slightly sweet and without any bitterness, this is a beverage we have enjoyed morning, noon and night.
OCTO Raw Chocolate Covered Hazelnuts
Unbelievably good, OCTO are probably our favourite vegan chocolate brand and these raw chocolate covered hazelnuts are the most delicious and decadent raw and vegan confectionary we have ever come across. Packaged by hand in the most beautifully designed boxes, we’ll be eating and gifting these for months to come.
Odylique Revive Essential Oil Blend
A simple blend of three organic essential oils, this invigorating oil has the clean and refreshing scents of eucalyptus and rosemary which are pleasantly cut through by grapefruit. We use it in a ceramic oil burner mid afternoon to refresh energy, enhance focus and uplift mood.
Naissance Organic Sweet Almond Oil
During autumn skin needs an extra boost and we’ve been using this sweet almond oil as an additional face moisturiser throughout the day to keep skin hydrated, soft and supple. Cold pressed, unrefined and hexane free, this light oil is absorbed well and leaves skin feeling soothed and nourished.
The Surrender Experiment: My Journey into Life’s Perfection by Michael A. Singer
One of the best books we’ve read in years, we devoured this is days. Well written, this adventure story into surrendering to life is a tale of forgoing the ego in order to be guided to a greater wisdom that has our best interests at heart. An uncanny tale of synchronicity, coincidences and too good to be true events, Singer also shares his experience of danger and loss and how surrendering to each moment helped him through.
