Happy Valentine’s Day! Here is a little sweetness to make your day even better. This simple raw fruit and nut chocolate slab is easy to make, packed full of nutrition and absolutely delicious.
Almonds strengthen nerves and bones, raisins are liver cleansing, brain boosting and calming whilst raw cacao is a source of essential vitamins and minerals.
- 1 pinch Himalayan salt
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 heaping tbsp raw cacao powder
- 2 tbsp ground coconut sugar
- 4 ½ tbsp ground cacao nibs
- 40g almonds
- 60g raisins
- 80g cacao butter
Combine all ingredients apart from the nuts and raisins in a heatproof glass bowl and melt over a saucepan filled with water on low heat.
Mix in the almonds and raisins and pour into a loaf tin lined with baking paper.
Freeze immediately for 1-2 hours.
Remove five minutes before eating and break into rough chunks.
