These spirulina energy balls combine green superfoods with whole fats to enhance absorption and balance the sugar from the dates and mulberries.
Spirulina is one of our favourite foods. A blue-green algae that grows in fresh and salt water, it is an excellent source of vitamins and minerals, omega 3 and 6 fatty acids, iron, beta-carotene and protein. It is anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, supports the detoxification of heavy metals, increases production in the body of disease fighting proteins, lowers blood pressure, reduces LDL cholesterol, boosts the metabolism and supports cellular, cardiovascular, brain and eye health.
Makes 10 Balls
- ¼ tsp moringa powder
- 1 tbsp cashew nuts
- 2 tbsp almonds
- 2 tbsp spirulina powder
- 2 tbsp mulberry pieces
- 100g pitted medjool dates
Process the ingredients in a high speed blender or food processor until well combined. Separate into 10 pieces and roll into balls.
