Real chocolate is energising and mineral rich but even the healthiest options are most often made with granulated or liquid sugar.
For those of us wanting a cacao boost without the added sweetener, this date sweetened ten minute sugar free raw chocolate recipe is the perfect solution.
A great base recipe, for something more exciting, fruit, nuts, seeds, vanilla and other spices can be added to the final mix before setting.
- ⅛ tsp Himalayan salt
- 50 g cacao powder
- 100 g pitted medjool dates
- 125 g grated cacao butter
Combine the ingredients on a low setting in a high powered blender or food processor until smooth.
Remove and push into a lined square dish, mould or shape into balls.
Set in the freezer for five minutes or until hard and remove, cutting into squares if need be.
Alternatively eat this without setting it as a rich and indulgent chocolate mousse.
